No Better Place - Biography Arthur Conan Doyle

No Better Place is the stunning new bipgraphical book from Alistair Duncan - the award winning author of several Conan Doyle biographies. No other author has unearthed more new content about the creator of Sherlock Holmes. Publication date is 10th August.

Following his second marriage in 1907 Arthur Conan Doyle was looking to the future. The years ahead would see the birth of three children, fresh literary success and the discovery of his new faith. Those same years would also see the First World War, the final adventures of Sherlock Holmes and ridicule from the religious and scientific communities for his beliefs.

Today I will be doing a review on the book No Better Place by Alistair Duncan. Normally I do not read books like this cause it just never catches my attention, however with this book it caught my attention right away & kept it! The author's style of writing was amazing, and kept me on the edge of my seat with the amount of detail portrayed into the book!

Today I will be doing a review on this Handmade apple watch and Iphone charge holder. When getting this product the only thing I was concerned about was if I would need to take my Otter Box case off my Iphone which I did not! I loved the fact that with my Otter box case the phone fit perfectly, tightly, and securely into the stand without it being to tight and it was very easy to get out! I love how I had a spot to "hide" my cord, if you have cats like I do you know they LOVE to chew on cords which this has saved my cord I am sure a few times! If you are interested in this product feel free to go to their amazon page Here.

Product Description
Enter an enchanted land of mythical creatures where manticores reign and ogres roar—a land of mystery and fright. A unique twist on traditional rhymes of everyone’s youth, Monster Goose Nursery Rhymes presents a more sinister approach to these childhood classics, and yet the sing-song nature of the poems renders them playful and jovial at the same time.

If you enjoy mischief and have a penchant for the morbidly hilarious, the Herzs’ rhymes will satisfy your mythological curiosities. Larson’s illustrations give new life to these ancient figures, and her artistic style employs the bold lines and colorful movement of an action-packed comic book. The author also includes a “bestiary” with information about the book’s legendary creatures, which hail from Scotland, Germany, Italy, Persia, Haiti, and Scandinavia.

His love for fantasy began when he read Where the Wild Things Are (repeatedly) as a child (and as an adult) and was sealed by The Lord of the Rings and Dungeons & Dragons. He enjoys painting Warhammer miniatures, moderating science fiction/fantasy literature panels at conventions, eating Boston cream pie, and writing children’s books with his sons, Josh and Harrison. Their first book was featured inYoung Entrepreneur, Wired GeekDad, CNN, and the Warner Brothers’ website for the Hobbit movie. The Herz writing trio lives in San Diego, California.

Product Description
Getting away with murder. Seems unlikely, but in the gated community of Avalon it’s what’s in style.
It all starts with Hudson’s accidental decapitation. It was a terrible accident. He was drunk and in the middle of a fight with his second wife. They both pressed the garage door button at the same time. The LAPD didn’t give it a second thought. Instead of grieving, his wife breathes free air again. She is a rich woman with freedom. The other wives secretly envy her.

From the outside, Avalon seems like the ideal place to live; full of rich men and beautiful women. Six couples form a close-knit friendship; the men all golf together, the women all shop together, and their six children all skip school together. But the wives begin to resent feeling like possessions and realize that the men become crueler every day.

When more husbands start dying, the so-called “Ladies of the Lake” find themselves under suspicion from the LAPD and their own children. The six children try to uncover their parents’ secrets before the handsome Detective Daniels can discover what is truly going on behind closed gates.

Today I will be reviewing the book by Ken Corday; Ladies of the Lake. Never reading a book by this author I was unsure what to expect but what I got was nothing short of an amazing, time written, detail filled book! Chapter after chapter I was on edge of my seat wanting to turn the page, and read more! This book was amazing, and had so much detail in it, the style this author took was brilliant! If you like thriller, on edge of your seat kind of books then this one is for you!

Agnes Sorel: Mistress of Beauty

The Queen of Four Kingdoms is dead. Agnès Sorel, her beautiful and innocent twenty-year-old maid of honour soon catches the attention of the mourning court. As a trusted confidant of the deceased Queen Yolande, and despite her shyness, Agnès captivates all whom she meets, but none more so than the King of France, Charles VII, twice her age.
Appointed a demoiselle to his wife, Queen Marie d’Anjou, Agnès finds herself firmly ensconced in the royal court, and in the midst of her duties slowly discovers a burgeoning love for the king that she can no longer refuse or deny. As their relationship deepens and Agnès’s gentle influence over the king is recognised, she is viewed with suspicion by the court. Plagued by guilt but unable to deny her feelings, Agnès is overwhelmed to find herself to be his first true love.  Her emotion clouds her good sense and she embarks on a dangerous expedition that will prove her undoing.
In this extraordinary historical novel, Princess Michael of Kent tells the little-known story of Agnès Sorel, the first official royal mistress at the court of France.  It was the king’s own mother-in-law, Queen Yolande who trained Agnès to help him once she was no more, to use her knowledge as much as her famous beauty, as the source of her power to guide him.

About the Author

HRH Princess Michael of Kent is the wife of the Queen of England's first cousin, HRH Prince Michael of Kent. Born in Bohemia, the Princess descends from ancient European aristocratic houses on both sides of her family. With so much history in her personal background, she was ideally suited to write three history books, all best sellers, and translated worldwide. It was the success of these two books that began Princess Michael's lecturing career. Her Royal Highness subsequently completed a further historical biography of Diane de Poitiers entitled The Serpent and the Moon. This book, like the others, has been translated into many languages and won the prestigious Prix L'Histoire in 2005 which was presented by the French Minister of Culture. Prince and Princess Michael lives at Kensington Palace in London with their black Labrador and her Siamese and Burmese cats.

Today I will be reviewing the book Agnes Sorel: Mistress of Beauty (Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent). This is the first book I have gotten the chance to read from this author, and I have to say it is no short of amazing! The way the author writes is out of this world, and is amazing to say the lease. If you like books that are written very well this book is for you!

Red carpets and white lies review

Product Description
In a city known for its never-ending parties, Miami socialite Leigh Anatole White hosts the most extravagant party of them all. Her annual Charity Ball, a star-studded benefit for troubled teens, is the most highly anticipated event of the season, and Leigh pulls out all the stops to ensure it doesn’t disappoint.

This year―the tenth anniversary of the Ball―Leigh has decided to give Miami one last blowout before relinquishing her title as hostess. Suffice it to say, the pressure is on: this year’s Charity Ball simply must be the best yet. With help from her committee, a few close friends, a masterful personal assistant and her supportive husband, Leigh is poised to deliver. Even the dirty secrets and entanglements of her friends and pseudo-friends―the good-hearted, hard-drinking gossip queen Dixie Johnson; drag queen extraordinaire Diva Elaine Manchester; and bronzed, botoxed and backstabbing Katie Parker, to name a few―can’t slow her down.

When an influential art dealer shows up, offering to provide high-end artwork for the Charity Ball’s auction, Leigh is thrilled. This is just what the gala needs to set it apart from previous years’, and after all of Leigh’s hard work, it looks as though the last Charity Ball may just live up to the hype. But as always in the world of Miami’s rich and shameless, a scandal is never far off…and this one hits everyone close to home.
